The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released fresh updates today, March 25, 2025, with one of the key announcements being the postponement of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Mock UTME). Initially scheduled for Saturday, April 5, the mock exam has now been shifted to Thursday, April 10, 2025.

According to JAMB, the rescheduling is necessary to allow for additional technical preparations, the implementation of key innovations, and better logistical planning across all participating Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers. The board assured candidates that this adjustment is in their best interest, ensuring a smoother examination experience.

Candidates who registered for the mock exam should take note of the new date and continue their preparations. JAMB will soon announce the new date for mock slip reprinting, which will provide details on each candidate’s exam date, time, and designated CBT center. Meanwhile, the main UTME remains unchanged and will proceed as scheduled from Friday, April 25, to Monday, May 5, 2025.

Another trending issue today involves concerns from some candidates who attempted to log into their JAMB profile using the same phone number and email from their 2024 registration. JAMB responded via its official social media pages, reassuring candidates that there is no cause for concern. The board explained that the 2025 portal is not yet fully active for profile viewing, which is why some candidates still see last year’s details.

One candidate, Chinedu, shared his experience after paying ₦500 at a CBT center to resolve this issue, only to find that nothing new was done for him. Candidates should be cautious and avoid paying unnecessary fees for services that are not yet officially available. JAMB has reassured all candidates that once the 2025 platform becomes fully active, their details will be updated accordingly.

As more updates continue to roll in, candidates are strongly advised to remain calm, stay prepared, and monitor JAMB’s official website and social media channels for credible information. Further updates on mock slip printing and the UTME will be provided as soon as they become available. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s update!
