JAMB has announced a new date for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Mock UTME), rescheduling it from its original date. Originally slated for Saturday, April 5, the exam will now take place on Thursday, April 10.

Multiple sources, including JAMB’s official bulletins and national news outlets, have confirmed the change. According to reports, the postponement aims to allow for the completion of technical preparations, particularly regarding the implementation of new innovations and the expansion of Computer-Based Test (CBT) center capacity. JAMB emphasized that the additional time would help ensure a smoother examination process for candidates and improve the overall efficiency of the testing system.

The Board also reassured candidates that the mock exam remains entirely optional. However, it is highly recommended for those looking to familiarize themselves with the computer-based test environment before the actual UTME.

Despite the shift in the mock exam date, the main UTME schedule remains unchanged and is set to take place between April 25 and May 5, 2025. All candidates should continue their preparations accordingly.

JAMB is expected to announce a new date for the release of mock exam reprint slips. These slips will contain essential details, including each candidate’s exam venue, date, and time. Candidates should regularly check the official JAMB website and trusted news sources for the latest updates.

For many students, this short extension provides an opportunity to revise and build confidence before the test. Those who registered for the mock exam are encouraged to use this extra time wisely and treat the simulation as seriously as they would the actual UTME.
