Hope is on the horizon for millions of young Nigerian entrepreneurs as the Federal Government has officially announced July 2025 as the launch date for the disbursement of funds under the Youth Empowerment and Innovation Development Programme (YEIDEP).
This highly anticipated initiative, which has already received applications from over 4.6 million youth, aims to provide non-repayable and interest-free grants ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦500,000. These grants are specifically tailored to support youth-owned and youth-led businesses across Nigeria, focusing on startup growth, expansion, and skill development.
What is YEIDEP?
YEIDEP is a flagship program initiated by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, in collaboration with the Youths Off The Street Initiative (YOTSI). The program is designed to foster inclusive economic growth, promote job creation, and encourage innovation at the grassroots level.

- Agriculture
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Fashion and Retail
- Vocational and Technical Trades
