Passengers on a United Nigeria Airlines flight from Asaba to Lagos were thrown into confusion after popular online critic VeryDarkMan VDM (Martins Otse) and entertainer Mr Jollof (Freedom Atsepoyi) got into a physical fight right inside the aircraft.
The incident, which happened shortly before take-off, was first revealed by a Facebook user who shared a short clip showing the two men struggling as other passengers tried to calm the situation. Some travellers were heard complaining that the drama was delaying the flight.
Both men have a long history of attacking each other online. Their beef escalated months ago when VDM accused Jollof’s wife of having dealings with Yahoo boys, A claim that triggered plenty wahala on social media. That unresolved tension appears to have carried into the plane.
VDM later posted on Facebook, insisting he “handled” Mr Jollof during the clash. He also claimed Jollof bit him while they were fighting, describing him as “man wey de bite.”
The fight video is already circulating widely online as Nigerians react to how two public figures decided to settle their grudges inside a commercial flight instead of a more appropriate place.
