The tension inside the Nwoko household took a new turn after Laila Charani, the Moroccan wife of billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, went online to accuse actress Regina Daniels of leading her into drugs and behaving in ways she felt were unsafe for her children.
The claims triggered serious conversation across social media, especially as Laila insisted she could not allow her daughters stay around Regina.
Regina finally reacted, using her Instagram Story to dismiss everything as lies meant to smear her name. She said the accusations were not only ridiculous but deeply insulting, especially coming from someone she has lived with under the same roof.

According to Regina, Ned Nwoko had a hand in pushing those statements out, which she described as a painful attack on her character. She argued that she has cared for many children over the years and found it shocking that anyone would publicly suggest otherwise.
She also questioned how Laila became so certain about the allegations of her sleeping with women. Regina went further to hint that Laila’s certainty might be because of something between them in the past, leaving the public to read between the lines.
Laila wrote:
“First off! Openly saying you can’t leave kids around me is the most useless and hurtful thing Ned ordered his retarded wife to say. I’m such a mother to so many children that it’s quite tiring. Also, saying I sleep with every single girl? Truthfully, sleeping with the same gender isn’t something that I consider shameful, but how is the other woman so certain? Lol. Is she so certain because I slept with her too?”
In defending herself, Regina referenced some troubling actions involving Laila’s son, saying there were things they had caught him doing that she would never reveal publicly. She added that if not for the realities of polygamy, their two boys would not even be close because of those past issues. But because her son cares for Laila’s child, she has tried to manage the situation.
Regina wrote on her instagram story:
“I hope she also knows that if not for the disadvantages of polygamy, her son and mine can’t be together because of all the atrocities we have caught him doing that I will never mention! But my son loves him, so what can I do!” she said.
“Ned better protect my kids! Their foundation is the ultimate, and do not use them to weaken me,” she added, with a warning to her estranged husband.
Regina ended her statement with a direct warning to Ned Nwoko. She insisted he must protect her children and stop allowing anyone use them to manipulate or intimidate her, stressing that their wellbeing remains her priority.
Online reactions have been intense, with many Nigerians saying the entire household appears troubled and chaotic. Some commenters even described the situation as a reflection of the complications and dark sides of polygamy, noting that what happens inside the family seems far deeper than what the public sees.
